Canadian
with el-live Productions
Bernard’s story with el-live Productions is a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and the desire to continuously evolve. Born into a musical family, Bernard discovered his love for music at a young age, mastering the piano and trumpet before venturing into the world of professional gigs as a teenager. His musical journey took him from Canada, where he graduated at the top of his class from the Harris Institute in Toronto, to working with Jimi Hendrix’s cousin, Henri Brown, as a producer, keyboardist, and musical director. After touring Canada and Southeast Asia, Bernard found his home with el-live Productions, joining the Shades Band as a keyboardist, singer, band leader, and eventually, an executive.
From the moment Bernard stepped into the el-live Productions world, his journey has been marked by continuous growth, adaptability, and leadership. Beginning his el-live career in 2008 as a keyboardist with the Shades Band at the Grand Hyatt Brix Bar in Singapore, Bernard immediately made a strong impression. His professionalism, charismatic presence, and sharp sense of style earned him the playful nickname “Prime Minister,” given by Georges, el-live’s founder andCEO, as a nod to Bernard’s polished appearance and poised demeanour.
Bernard’s ability to connect with audiences and deliver electrifying performances set him apart early on. Starting as a versatile musician, he impressed with his rapping, singing, and keyboard skills, all while commanding the stage with his dynamic presence. As he honed his craft, his performances grew even more captivating, with his signature keytar solos becoming a highlight across his shows in Asia. Bernard’s leadership skills emerged as he took on the role of band leader, where he excelled at managing teams, guiding artists, and ensuring high-quality performances.
His transition to an executive role at el-live marked another step in his development, where he focused on business development, utilizing his experience to strengthen el-live’s relationships with hotel operators. His audience-centric approach ensured that every partnership was built on respect and a shared commitment to delivering exceptional live music experiences.
